Some wonky binoculars for your evening. We are tucked up in a tiny Welsh bungalow, with the rain battering the roof and horses nibbling at the hedge.
This is a 100 Day Project in which I attempt to paint a shape every day. For more words, check out bimblings.
Hope the rain has now stopped and that you e been having a lovely Sunday. I’ve had an amazing day …. did an early morning Xoom with a group
Of Ukrainians in Kherson and sat there wiping away tears from my eyes !! They are so brave …. and it could just as easily be us ….. But can’t imagine them sitting there and then going outside and something dropping out of the sky … it’s just unimaginable to me that this could be happening in our world …
This afternoon I took an African friend to see my mum. There is a Waste to Plate shop nearby that should have been closed. ( For anyone who doesn’t know these are shops where supermarkets send their surplus food to stop it going into landfill ….) My friend asked if they had any onions and before we knew it my boot was filled up with a HUGE box of food for her and 4 bunches of flowers … She said to the lady ‘ How did you know I’ve just lost my job ?? ‘ And the lady said ‘ Anyone can come here - what matters is that the food isn’t wasted ! ‘…. Once again tears in my eyes at the goodness in the hearts of these volunteers. Apparently they are there at 10pm weeknights handing out boxes of food that has just been released from the supermarkets …
This is living the dream Josie❤️xxx
