#97 Steam Train

We’re off home first thing tomorrow.

My favourite bits of the holiday (in no particular order)…

1. Hanging out with Skinny Geoff, Big Derek and Helen the horses, Arthur Sheep and the sparrows.

2. Walking over the railway bridge in the sunshine.

3. The little steam train — so much fun, we rode it twice. TOOT TOOT.

4. Playing the 2p arcade machine and eating ice cream.

5. Good sleeps and lots of reading.

6. Ogling at the tiny, half-abandoned village we stayed in — a good half of the houses were derelict and overgrown, it was quite apocalyptic. We love a strange vibe.

P.S. Full disclosure: I hate this painting!! Oh well. Isn’t it funny how sometimes they work, and sometimes they just don’t? It’s been a good discipline to learn over these last few weeks… and an excellent practise in letting go!
