The rain eased off enough for us to go for a long walk/push. You know how there are GREAT holidays and just ok holidays? This one is definitely ‘just ok’ — we keep hitting awkward bumps and disappointments — but it’s been a good lesson in learning that ‘just ok’ can actually be peaceful and lovely and enough too. Not everything has to be the best ever.
Today I saw lots and lots of foxgloves, and some very loud sheep, and I got to lie on the grass in some fleeting sunshine. Consider me full. That’s plenty enough.

I think navigating illness when away on holiday is so difficult. We just can't do what we want or as much as we want to, anyway. It's accepting that, as well as the weather and anything else thrown at us, which is where peace lies. X
